The chamomile is slowly coming out of its winter period of dormancy as the  weather warms and the days lengthen with the onset of Spring.  Elsewhere on the farm there are mallard ducklings on the pond, the bees are foraging for pollen and nectar as they increase their numbers for the coming season, and in the garden the birds are busy building nests.  A Blue Tit is preparing a nest in our bird house fitted with a camera so hopefully we will be able to monitor the progress of the nest through the breeding season.  He’s been very active collecting nesting materials so I decide to lend a hand by scratching moss from the lawn for him to collect.  As you can see he’s very industrious!
